Celebrate the Holiday–A Grange Community Program
Dec. 6, 2017
Make a wreath, share a meal, enjoy the choir and celebrate the spirit of the season with members and friends of the Sammamish Valley Grange at the annual Holiday Party, Wednesday, December 6th, 2017.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for this free event. Start the evening with the family friendly, all-ages activity of wreath making. Frames will be provided, but plan in advance to scour your yard and garden for essential materials; look for sprigs, berries, cones and branches to create an individually unique natural wreath. As the wreath making is underway, the potluck dinner begins at 7 p.m. Ham and turkey, compliments of the Grange, will be in the oven awaiting your favorite holiday dish to share. Local community choir, The Jubilee Singers, will be a highlight of the evening.
Local Grange members have been promoting agriculture since 1909 when it was founded in Bothell to assist farmers, through its move in the 1920’s to its current location in the 1960’s, to the historic Grange Hall located at 14654 148th Avenue NE in Woodinville. Bring your family and friends, learn a bit about local agriculture and the Grange mission, and enjoy the spirit of the Holiday.
This annual Holiday party is held in tradition and service to the broader community. A ten-dollar donation is requested for wreath materials. RSVP’s are encouraged but not required. Please contact Tom Quigley, Grange Master, at tlquigley@msn.com, or 206-850-2643, to let us you’re planning to attend.
By working to improve the rural nature of the Sammamish Valley, the Grange shares its mission through educational outreach and neighborly engagement. Membership in the Grange is open to the public.
