Sammamish Valley Celebration of Lavender and the Arts
July 15, 2017 - July 17, 2017
An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until July 16, 2017
Please join us in support of the local farms and businesses that make up our agricultural land.
Sammamish Valley Celebration of Lavender and the Arts; Fri-Sun. July 14-16.
Special note: During the Sammamish Valley Alliance (SVA) event this weekend the Grange Garden trail gate will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. We’ll be available to talk to trail users and others visiting local farms. This is a perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new neighbors. We encourage you to walk from Wilmot Park in Woodinville or ride a bike along the Sammamish River Trail. The Trail gate is approximately one-half mile south of Wilmot Park. Look for our bright flags, tent and smiling faces. There is limited on-farm parking, please call Tom Quigley, 206-850-2643, for more specific directions. The Grange Garden is one of Woodinville’s best-kept secrets. We hope you can join us this coming weekend and enjoy the farms and Garden.
Enjoy a variety of activities that celebrate summer during the Sammamish Celebration of Lavender and the Arts; Fri-Sun. July 14-16.
Discover the sights, sounds and fragrances of the summer during the annual Sammamish Valley Celebration of Lavender and the Arts July 14-16, 2017. From veggies growing, to birds chirping, to lavender blooming, and cooking with lavender, you’ll find many ways to connect to local farms and businesses celebrating the summer season.
Visit farms and businesses in Woodinville and Redmond throughout the weekend to enjoy food and farm demonstrations; take a class; and chat with a farmer or local artisan. You’ll find a variety of activities that celebrate summer: learn about lavender; sample freshly pressed apple cider; taste farm-fresh food and local wine; dig in some soil and take a walk in a peaceful farm field.
Each location will have its own schedule of events during the Valley celebration. All ages are welcome and some activities are free. Participating businesses and organizations include: 21 Acres Center, Agrarian Society, Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop, Molbak’s Garden + Home, Off the Branch Farm (formerly Minea Farm), SAgE Sammamish Valley Student and Incubator Farms, Sammamish Valley Farm, Sammamish Valley Grange, Tonnemaker Valley Farm & Woodinville Farm Stand and Woodinville Heritage Museum.
Visit sammamishvalley.org for more information, a map, and links to each farm and business. You can also stop by the Sammamish Valley (SVA) info table off the River Trail on Saturday and Sunday, 11-3, (with trail access to participating farms) to find out more about activities, and get information on how you can support local agriculture.
Sammamish Valley Celebrations are presented by SVA with support from the King County CSA Program, the Woodinville Weekly and Olympic Nursery, Inc.
