Cherry Jarvis Named Grand Marshal for the 2026 Celebrate Woodinville Parade
The Woodinville Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Cherry Jarvis has been selected as the 2026 Grand Marshal for the Celebrate Woodinville Parade.
Cherry will lead the community down the parade route on Saturday, August 8, as thousands gather for one of Woodinville’s most cherished annual traditions. This year’s honor is especially meaningful as our nation celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, making it a fitting time to recognize someone who has dedicated so much of her life to preserving and celebrating Woodinville’s rich history.
Cherry’s impact on our community spans decades. As the founder of the Woodinville Heritage Society, she has played an instrumental role in preserving the stories, landmarks, and traditions that make Woodinville unique. Her passion for local history has ensured that future generations can appreciate the people and places that shaped our community.
Beyond her work with the Heritage Society, Cherry has generously served Woodinville in numerous leadership roles, including on the Woodinville Planning Commission, where she helped guide the city’s growth while honoring its character. Throughout the years, she has remained deeply involved in community affairs, volunteering her time, sharing her knowledge, and inspiring others to invest in Woodinville’s future.
“Cherry Jarvis embodies everything that Celebrate Woodinville is about,” said Kimberly Ellertson, Executive Director of the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce. “Her lifelong commitment to preserving our history, strengthening our community, and serving others has left an incredible legacy. During America’s 250th anniversary, there couldn’t be a more appropriate person to lead our parade and help us celebrate both our nation’s history and Woodinville’s story.”
The Chamber also hopes this recognition honors the memory of Cherry’s late husband, Terry Jarvis, whose dedication to the community complemented Cherry’s own remarkable legacy. Together, they helped shape Woodinville into the welcoming and vibrant place it is today.
For generations, the Celebrate Woodinville Parade has brought neighbors, families, businesses, and community organizations together to celebrate hometown pride.
