Legislative Wrap Up at Chateau Ste Michelle

Last Wednesday, June 28th, the East King Chambers Coalition held the Legislative Wrap Up in Woodinville at the picturesque Chateau Ste Michelle. Hosted by the East King Chambers Coalition, with Woodinville as the hosting city, the event featured opening remarks from Woodinville Chamber Executive Director Kimberly Ellertson and City of Woodinville Councilmember Michelle Evans. Also in attendance from Woodinville were City Manager Brandon Buchanan, Assistant to the City Manager Alex Herzog, Governmental Affairs Coordinator Jared Hill, along with Woodinville Chamber Board Members Rick Chatterton, Melanie Baker, Greg Lill, Margaret Atwater, and Ambassador Mary Peterson.

The event included two panel discussions. The first panel featured Sen. Mark Mullet, Rep. Tana Senn, and Rep. Larry Springer. The second panel included Rep. David Hackney, Sen. Phil Fortunato, and Sen. Patty Kuderer. The discussion from our panelists on the 2023 legislative overview was lively. Housing remains a contentious issue that is expected to dominate the 2024 session, along with topics of fiscal responsibility and transportation.
