Sky River Mead

At Sky River Mead, we’ve been creating locally handcrafted meads since 1997. Our founder and talented mead maker, Denice Ingalls, began as a solopreneur in the 90s with a background in honey and a desire to reintroduce the world’s oldest beverage to the modern Northwest palate.

Did you know mead is made from honey, the only fermentable sugar with a net positive impact on the environment? That was one of the many things that attracted Denice to making mead!  In addition, we use locally sourced fruit, harvested at the peak of ripeness, crystal clear Northwest water, and the finest spices and flowers available. The finished creations range from dry to dessert sweet and from simply elegant to deep and complex. They have earned awards locally, nationally, and internationally.
