We are pleased to announce that the Woodinville Chamber’s Board of Directors has completed a thorough search to fill the position of Executive Director. We would like to formally introduce Christopher Burgess to the Woodinville community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to welcome him!

Woodinville Chamber announces New Executive Director

Christopher Burgess has been a Woodinville resident since 2004.

 

Burgess, previously served as national security executive, where he served for 30+ years and received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal. He subsequently served as an executive with Cisco Systems, where he held the role of Senior Security Advisor. His most current entrepreneurial endeavor is as the founder of Securely Travel, an online travel safety advisory service.

 

National non-profit organizations like Mayo Clinic, AARP, Love Our Children, Feeding America, and regional organizations like Sight Connection, Northwest Harvest and others have benefited from his engagement and support.

 

He is a prolific writer, having penned hundreds of articles in 2018 for various publications. In addition, he has authored two books, “Secrets Stolen, Fortunes Lost, Preventing Intellectual Property Theft and Economic Espionage in the 21st Century” (2008) and “Senior Online Safety” (2014).

 

In addition to his writing, he periodically provides television commentary and analysis to local and international media outlets, most recently to Seattle’s KIRO7 and New York/Haifa i24News.

 

He and his wife Kathy, a Washingtonian, moved to Woodinville with their two horses from their northern Indiana farm where they grew grapes, and award winning garlic, beans and hostas. When they aren’t gardening, they can be found boating on Lake Washington or riding their horses along the Sammamish River.
