On November 20, 2025, the Woodinville Chamber hosted its much-anticipated Hometown Heroes Luncheon at Fire Station 31. This annual event celebrated the extraordinary individuals and organizations who selflessly contribute to the Woodinville community. With catering provided by La Riviera Maya, the luncheon was a heartwarming tribute to those who embody the spirit of service and compassion. The Woodinville Chamber Executive Director Kimberly Ellertson, Board Chair Tim Kalso, City Council members Mayor Mike Millman and Councilmembers Sarah Ardnt and Michelle Evans, King County Councilmember Sarah Perry, and many community members were on site to honor our heroes.

Honoring the Heroes:

Carol Lee, Rotary Club of Woodinville
Carol Lee was recognized for her exceptional service and longstanding dedication to the Rotary Club of Woodinville, where she has played an instrumental role in strengthening community engagement and advancing the organization’s mission. Her leadership extends beyond the club itself, as she has also guided the Interact Club, empowering local youth to develop leadership skills, serve their community, and discover the value of giving back. Her commitment has made a meaningful and lasting impact on Woodinville’s next generation of volunteers and leaders. The Chamber proudly presented Carol with a Hometown Hero plaque along with a contribution to Woodinville Rotary to help ensure the program continues to thrive.

Residents of the Creekside MBK
At Creekside MBK, a committed group of residents has made a meaningful difference through both charitable giving and hands-on service. Their recent donation to the Woodinville Storehouse Foodbank reflects their desire to support local families in need, while their ongoing involvement in Taco Tuesdays shows their willingness to show up, serve meals, and contribute directly to the foodbank’s weekly operations. Their combined efforts highlight the powerful role that community members can play in strengthening local support systems. The Chamber proudly presented the Creekside residents with a Hometown Hero plaque along with a contribution to the Woodinville Storehouse Foodbank to help ensure the program continues to thrive.

Courtney & Jeff Gibson, F45 Training Bothell
Courtney and Jeff Gibson were honored for their remarkable bravery and quick action when they stepped in to administer CPR to a community member in critical need. Their immediate response and willingness to act in a moment of crisis exemplify true courage and community care. Their lifesaving efforts not only made a profound difference for one individual but also serve as a powerful reminder of the impact that preparedness and compassion can have within our community. The Chamber presented Courtney and Jeff with a Hometown Hero plaque along with a commitment to looking into a grant for an AED.

The Kenzie & Dot Foundation
The Kenzie & Dot Foundation was celebrated for the meaningful way it strengthens relationships between families, police officers, and firefighters through its heartfelt community work. Each year, the foundation brings joy to local children by helping fund the beloved Shop with a Cop program, a tradition that pairs first responders with kids for a special holiday shopping experience. In recognition of their ongoing impact, the Chamber proudly presented the foundation with a Hometown Hero plaque along with a contribution to help ensure the program continues to thrive. Donate to this year’s Shop with a Cop program on their website.
